Not a Laser. Not Microneedling. A Different Kind of Energy for Skin Renewal.
When patients hear the word “plasma,” they often think of PRP or blood
plasma.
PLADUO Pro is completely different.
PLADUO uses plasma energy created from gas and delivers that energy to
the skin in a controlled way.
It gives us another tool for patients looking to improve visible signs of skin
aging without assuming that every concern needs a laser or microneedling
treatment.
What Is Plasma?
Most of us learned about three states of matter:
Solid → Liquid → Gas
Plasma is often described as another energized state of matter.
PLADUO creates plasma using gas and electrical energy, then delivers that
plasma energy toward the treatment area.
The device can work with both nitrogen and argon plasma, giving the
provider different treatment options depending on the intended protocol.
The manufacturer also allows the energy to be adjusted across multiple
levels so treatment can be tailored to the skin and treatment goal.
Why Would We Choose Plasma?
Because different technologies interact with skin differently.
At Natural Focus, we don’t believe every patient with aging skin needs the
exact same device.
One person may need more help with hydration.
Another may primarily have textural changes.
Someone else may be concerned about pigmentation, pores, acne scarring,
fine lines, or firmness.
PLADUO gives us an additional way to create a controlled stimulus in the
skin as part of a personalized rejuvenation plan.
What Can PLADUO Pro Be Used For?
Depending on your skin and treatment plan, we may consider PLADUO for
concerns such as:
● Uneven-looking texture
● Enlarged-looking pores
● Fine lines
● Pigmentation concerns
● Acne-scar appearance
● Skin laxity
● General skin rejuvenation
Your treatment intensity can be adjusted based on your skin, goals, and the
type of response we’re trying to create.
PLADUO vs. Laser vs. RF Microneedling
This is one of the most common questions.
They’re not simply three versions of the same treatment.
Laser
Laser technology uses a specific wavelength of light.
Depending on the laser and settings, the energy interacts with particular
targets within the skin and can be used for resurfacing and other skin
concerns.
RF Microneedling
RF microneedling physically places fine needles into the skin and delivers
radiofrequency energy at selected depths.
This allows us to address the skin through controlled micro-injury plus
thermal energy.
PLADUO Plasma
PLADUO uses gas-generated plasma energy delivered toward the tissue.
There are no microneedles involved, and it does not work through the same
light-based mechanism as a laser.
So Which Is Better?
Usually, that’s not the right question.
The better question is: Which type of stimulus makes sense for your skin?
Sometimes that’s PLADUO.
Sometimes it’s Nouvaderm.
Sometimes it’s EXION RF Microneedling.
And sometimes we intentionally combine technologies over time.
Why We Sometimes Combine Treatments
Skin aging rarely happens in only one layer.
A patient may simultaneously have:
Dehydration + texture + pigmentation + loss of firmness.
One technology does not necessarily need to solve all four.
That’s why PLADUO may be paired with:
● EXO|E®
● Celluma® LED
● Hydrinity
● HydroPeptide
● EXION HA
● Other customized rejuvenation treatments
We choose combinations based on the concern rather than simply stacking
procedures.
The Natural Focus Difference
Advanced technology is valuable.
But more technology isn’t automatically better.
The goal is the right stimulus—not the most aggressive treatment.
We consider what your skin needs, how much recovery you’re comfortable
with, and how PLADUO fits into your overall skin-health plan.
Different energy. Different purpose. Personalized to your skin.
